High Sierras Family Resource Center is recruiting for a Child Care Council Coordinator. This position works collaboratively with children and family serving organizations and parents to stay apprised of childcare needs, gaps, and challenges in our county. The work entails staying up to date with all the changing policies and regulations around childcare licensing, funding, access, quality and best practices to make recommendations and advocate for families and childcare providers. We are a small nonprofit organization providing parent/provider education, children/family programming and events.
This position is supported by a hands-on executive director and a network of partner agencies. We are looking for someone with experience of working with people and some understanding of child development and family functioning needs. Higher education is preferred. Experience presenting to and/or educating groups is ideal. Grant program evaluation and reporting knowledge would be a bonus. The FRC hours of operations are Tuesday thru Friday 10-4. This position is full-time. Some remote work may be considered.
